You can use the banners from other companies on your site, just make sure to not get interfered with your content, nor to bother the readers. Some banners are created in Flash and they can be sparkling enough to annoy the visitors.
A blog network can help those wo register their sites on it by adding more visitors to those who are already visiting the site. But to maintain those visitors to come regularly to your site, it depends on you.
When you write an article on Technorati about your blog, that article must be published first on Technorati. After that, you can publish it on your blog as well, if you would like that, but considering this is a form of commercial, of advertising your site on another site, I don’t see the point of publishing the article on your blog as well. When you promote yourself on another networks, you have to write very well in English and also you have to be flawless when using the English grammar.11
